The offer

What you actually get when we clean your patio.

Most patio cleaners pick one method and use it on every job. We don't. Sandstone wants a gentle low-pressure clean, concrete slabs need a rotary, decking needs low-pressure with a brush. Method matched to material — that's how we keep the surface intact while it comes up clean.

How it works

Five steps, no surprises.

Same standard whether it's Indian sandstone outside a Cotswold cottage or concrete slabs on a 1990s estate. The method changes with the material; the result doesn't.

Free quote

Send us your postcode plus a couple of photos or a video. Tell us the rough size and the surface — sandstone, slabs, porcelain, decking. We'll quote without a visit unless you'd prefer one.

The cleaning

A gentle low-pressure clean for sandstone and natural stone (so we don't scar the surface). Rotary cleaner for concrete slabs and porcelain. Low-pressure brush for decking. We test a small section first if the surface is unfamiliar.

The clean-up

Patio rinsed clean, run-off washed off lawn and borders, planters and pots rinsed down. Furniture moved back if we shifted it. We don't leave mess behind.

Re-sanding

Sand-jointed slabs get kiln-dried sand brushed back into the joints once the surface is dry. Mortar-jointed patios we leave alone — but we'll flag any failing pointing on the quote so you know.

Optional sealing

An impregnating sealer protects against red wine, BBQ grease, oil and weed regrowth. Adds 2–3 years before the next clean is due. More on sealing →

About us

A small Gloucestershire team that does this properly.

We're based in Gloucestershire and we cover the county — Cheltenham, Gloucester, Newent, Quedgeley, Abbeymead and the villages and Cotswold hamlets in between. Patios are alongside roofs and drives in our weekly schedule; same trucks, same kit, same standard.

Every patio gets the right method for the material. Sandstone is soft and porous — you can scar it permanently with a rotary cleaner or a close-pass lance, so it gets a gentle low-pressure clean with biocide. Concrete slabs and porcelain handle a rotary fine. Decking needs low-pressure with a brush attachment so we don't tear up the timber fibres. Match the method to the surface and you get the result without the damage.

What we don't do

  • We don't sub the work out — the person who quotes you is the person who turns up.
  • We don't take deposits. You pay when the job's done and you're happy.
Where we work

The whole of Gloucestershire — every village, every town.

Cheltenham, Gloucester, Newent, Quedgeley, Abbeymead. Different stone, different access, same standard.

Patio cleaning prices

How much does patio cleaning cost?

We don't quote a flat rate over the phone — every patio's a different size, stone and condition — but to be straight with you, most patio cleans are £120–£350. A small slabbed patio sits at the lower end; larger areas, heavy moss and black staining, or porous natural stone that needs careful work push it up.

What moves the price:

  • Size of the patio (square metres)
  • Surface — concrete slabs, natural stone (sandstone, limestone), porcelain or block
  • How much moss, algae and black spot has built up
  • Whether it needs re-sanding of the joints or sealing afterwards

How we quote: a free no-obligation survey, a written price the same day, no deposit, pay only when it's done. Ask about sealing at the same time to keep it cleaner for longer.

Common questions

The things people actually ask before booking.

Will this damage my Indian sandstone?

No. Indian sandstone is porous and soft; a rotary cleaner or close-pass lance can mark it permanently — the trademark stripe pattern you see on a lot of "cleaned" sandstone is from someone using the wrong tool. We use a gentle low-pressure clean with biocide, which lifts moss and algae without touching the surface texture.

How long does a patio clean take?

A typical garden patio takes half a day. Larger patios with steps, planters, lighting and decking sections take a full day. The quote includes a realistic time estimate; we don't add hours after we've started.

Do you re-sand or re-joint mortared patios?

Sand-jointed patios get re-sanded as standard. Mortared (cement-jointed) patios we leave alone — we won't disturb existing pointing. If joints are already failing we'll flag it on the quote and can quote separately for mortar repair.

Can decking be cleaned the same way?

Different method, same idea. Decking gets a low-pressure clean with a brush attachment — never a rotary or close-pass lance, because pressure tears up the timber fibres and leaves a fluffy, raised surface that traps water. Done right, decking comes up clean and stays smooth.

How long does a patio clean last?

2–3 years on average. North-facing patios or those under tree cover go green faster. Sealing extends the interval, blocks weeds permanently and keeps the colour rich — see our sealing service for the full breakdown.
