The offer

What you actually get when we clean your driveway.

Most driveway cleaners pressure-wash, hose down and disappear — leaving sand-stripped joints that wash out the next time it rains. We re-sand block paving as standard so the surface stays locked after we leave.

How it works

Five steps, no surprises.

Same process whether it's a sweep of York stone outside a Cotswold cottage or block paving on a 1990s estate. The method changes with the surface; the standard doesn't.

Free quote

Send us your postcode plus a couple of photos or a video — we can usually price it without a visit. Tell us the rough size in metres or paces and the surface type. Visits available if you'd prefer.

The cleaning

Block paving and concrete get a rotary surface cleaner — even pressure across the slabs, no zebra stripes. Tarmac and gravel get a gentle low-pressure clean so we don't blast loose stone or strip the binder.

The clean-up

Surface rinsed clean, run-off washed off kerbs and lawns, the silt left behind hosed away. We leave the drive looking finished, not finished with.

Re-sanding

Kiln-dried sand swept and brushed back into the joints of every block-paving job. Without it, joints wash out, weeds find a way in, and the surface starts moving. We don't skip it.

Optional sealing

Once dry, an acrylic or polyurethane sealer locks colour, blocks weeds, and makes oil and tyre marks easy to wipe. Adds 2–3 years before the next clean is due. More on sealing →

About us

A small Gloucestershire team that does this properly.

We're based in Gloucestershire and we cover the county — Cheltenham, Gloucester, Newent, Quedgeley, Abbeymead and the villages and Cotswold hamlets in between. Driveways and patios are a big part of what we do alongside roofs; same trucks, same kit, same standard.

Every drive gets the right method for the surface. Block paving wants a rotary cleaner so the slabs come up evenly without zebra stripes. Tarmac and gravel want a gentle low-pressure clean so we don't blow loose stone or strip the binder. And every block-paving job gets re-sanded as standard — without sand back in the joints, the clean doesn't last.

What we don't do

  • We don't sub the work out — the person who quotes you is the person who turns up.
  • We don't take deposits. You pay when the job's done and you're happy.
Where we work

The whole of Gloucestershire — every village, every town.

Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Bishop's Cleeve, Churchdown, Newent, Quedgeley, Abbeymead — and every village in between. Different stone, different access, same standard.

Driveway cleaning prices

How much does driveway cleaning cost?

We don't quote a flat rate over the phone — every drive's a different size and condition — but to be straight with you, most driveway cleans are £150–£400. A small block-paved or concrete drive sits at the lower end; bigger drives, heavy weed and oil staining, or a re-sand afterwards push it up.

What moves the price:

  • Size of the driveway (square metres)
  • Surface — block paving, concrete, gravel or natural stone
  • How much weed, moss, algae and oil staining there is
  • Whether it needs re-sanding or sealing afterwards

How we quote: a free no-obligation survey, a written price the same day, no deposit, pay only when it's done. Ask about sealing at the same time to keep it cleaner for longer.

Common questions

The things people actually ask before booking.

Will pressure washing damage my block paving?

Not when it's done with a rotary surface cleaner. The rotary distributes the pressure evenly across the slab face and stays parallel to the surface, so you don't get the zebra-stripe effect you see when someone uses a lance and free-hand wand. The only thing pressure-washing block paving really removes is the kiln-dried sand from the joints — which is why we re-sand as standard before we leave.

How long does a driveway clean take?

Most domestic drives take half a day to a full day depending on size, condition, and whether re-sanding or sealing is included. A heavily-mossed 4-car drive with planted borders takes longer than a clean, simple 2-car block paving area. We give you a realistic time estimate with the quote, and we don't leave until it's done.

Do you re-sand the joints?

Yes, every block-paving job. Pressure-washing inevitably strips the kiln-dried sand from the joints — that's why most cleaners that don't re-sand leave you with a drive that looks great for two weeks then starts shifting. We sweep fresh kiln-dried sand into the joints once the surface has dried, brush off the excess, and the drive is locked up again.

Should I seal the drive after cleaning?

It's worth considering. Sealer adds 2–3 years before the next clean, blocks weeds out of the joints permanently, makes oil and tyre marks easy to wipe, and brings the colour back richer than just cleaning alone. Whether it's worth the extra cost depends on the surface, age, and how heavily you use the drive. We'll give you an honest answer when we quote.

How long does a clean last before it needs doing again?

Roughly 2–3 years for an unsealed drive in average conditions, longer if it's well-drained and gets a lot of sun. North-facing drives or anything under heavy tree cover go green faster — sometimes within 12–18 months. Sealing roughly doubles the interval. A quick wash-off once a year keeps it looking sharp without needing the full deep clean.

Which areas do you cover for driveway cleaning?

All of Gloucestershire — Gloucester, Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury, Cirencester, Bishop's Cleeve, Churchdown, Newent, Quedgeley, Abbeymead and the surrounding villages, plus over the border into parts of Worcestershire. Same pricing across the patch, no extra travel charge — if you're not sure we reach you, send your postcode and we'll confirm.
